About Us
The UCL Centre for Finance (CfF) is a research centre based in the Department of Economics at University College London. The CfF’s research fellows are faculty in the Department of Economics and the School of Management (SoM) working on cutting-edge research in finance or at the intersection between finance, monetary economics, macroeconomics, economic theory, behavioural economics, and econometrics. The research interests span from market microstructure to behavioural finance, experimental finance, macroeconomics with financial frictions, financial econometrics and big data analytics. Affiliated with the CfF, there is a laboratory for experimental work (ELFE – Experimental Laboratory for Finance and Economics), founded on the long tradition of the department in experimental studies. The CfF also promotes teaching activities, with an MSc Finance and a PhD Financial Economics, joint initiatives of the Department of Economics and the School of Management. The 2024/25 acacemic year will see the launch of two new programmes, an MSc Law and Finance (joint intiative of Faculty of Laws, SoM, Econ) and an MSc Finance with Data Science (joint initiative between SoM and the Department of Economics).
